He credits his music education also to his father, once Bollywood actor/singer Sharad Kumar Bader and his footing in Indian Classical Music, as well, he credits his field school experience to West Africa studying traditional dance and drumming at the University of Ghana as also having a deep impact on his musical outlook

Recently much research has demonstrated that rhythm can be used as a form of expressive therapy. In studies on cancer patients, it was shown that facilitated drum circles boost the immune system that helps fight cancer. In other settings, drums have been used as a mean of group bonding, where in large groups (including corporate settings, schools and recreational settings) a common thread or "beat" keeps everyone playing together and working together.
While drum rhythm is commonly associated with dancing and fun, it can also be integrated into an expressive arts therapy setting.
